Philippine diplomatic relations with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was established on 26 August 1946. The Philippine Ambassador to Belgium is also accredited as the non-resident Ambassador to Luxembourg.

While Luxembourg's foreign policy thrusts are focused on its relations with European countries, Luxembourg also seeks a balance in its foreign policy priorities by actively promoting relations with countries outside of Europe. Bilateral relations between PH and Luxembourg are very cordial and harmonious and both countries have supported each other's candidatures in a number of international fora.

The Philippines supported Luxembourg's candidature in the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the period 2007-2009 and Luxembourg's candidature for a non-permanent seat at the UN Security Council for the period 2013-2014. Luxembourg was elected as a non-permanent member of the UN Security council on 18 October 2012 with its term having started on 01 January 2013 and will end 31 December 2014.
