03 June 2025 — The Philippine Honorary Consulate in Luxembourg held a diplomatic reception in commemoration of the 127th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence.
Hosted by Philippine Consul General a.h. for Luxembourg Alain Kinsch, the diplomatic reception was attended by Luxembourg government and city officials, the diplomatic corps, Filipino community leaders, officials of the private sector and dignitaries, including Mr. Marc Thewes, President of the State Council of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg; Mrs. Véronique Dockendorf, Director for Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr Bob Kieffer, Director of the Treasury, Ministry of Finance; Mr. Olivier Baldauff, Director of Protocol of the Luxembourg Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Mr Henri Grethen, former Minister of the Economy and of Transport and former member of the European Court of Auditors; and H.E. Mrs. Colette Flesch, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Mayor of the City of Luxembourg.
In his remarks, Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda noted the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Philippines–Luxembourg diplomatic relations in 2027 and looked forward to collaboration in a variety of fields such as trade, green finance, and space studies.
For his part, Consul General a.h. Kinsch highlighted the desire of both the Philippines and Luxembourg to enhance both countries’ bilateral cooperation and the regard given the Filipino community by Luxembourg citizens.
