Luxembourg is traditionally not a major source of European investment.  Based on available data, there are nine (9) companies with Luxembourg equities registered with the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Sectors included wholesale activities on commercial machinery and equipment, interisland water passenger transport, labor recruitment and business and management consultancy activities. For the period 2004 to present, there are no companies with Luxembourg equity registered with the Philippine Board of Investments. 

The Philippines and Belgium-Luxembourg signed the Agreement on Reciprocal Protection and Promotion of Investments on 14 January 1998.  Said agreement has been ratified by the Philippines on 27 February 1998 and has been in force since 19 December 2003.
