Full Implementation of the e-Travel Customs System

The public is advised of the full implementation of the e-Travel Customs System in all operational Philippine international ports.

All passengers arriving in and departing from the Philippines can now fill out the electronic Customs Baggage Declaration Form (e-CBDF) and electronic Currencies Declaration Form (e-CDF), as applicable, at the e-Travel website at https://etravel.gov.ph or by downloading the eGovPH application within 72 hours prior to arrival or departure from the Philippines.

For a seamless travel clearance, one QR code shall also be used in the e-Travel System starting 10 May 2024.

Upon arrival or before departure, passengers shall present their:

1. passports to the Immigration Officer for e-Travel registration confirmation
2. QR Code to the Customs Officer for clearance

Paper forms of the CBDF and CDF shall still be made available at the Customs area.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) also reiterates its strict implementation of the following rules on cross-border transfer of currencies:

1. Any person who brings into or takes out of the Philippines foreign currency in excess of USD 10,000.00 or its equivalent is required to declare the whole amount brought into or taken out of the Philippines in the e-CDF.

2. For Philippine currency, a person may bring into or lake out of the Philippines an amount not exceeding PhP 50,000.00. Amounts in excess of the limit shall require: (a) prior written authorization from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP); and (b) declaration of the whole amount in the e-CDF.

3. The BSP, however, allows cross-border transfer of local currency in excess of the limit only for the following purposes: (a) testing/calibration/configuration of money counting/sorting machines; (b) numismatics (collection of currency); and (c) currency awareness.

4. False declaration or Non-Declaration of Philippine or Foreign Currencies and monetary instruments will result in confiscation by Customs authorities.

Inaabisuhan ang publiko ukol sa pagpapatupad ng e-Travel Custom System sa lahat ng paliparang internasyonal sa Pilipinas.

Lahat ng pasaherong darating sa at aalis ng Pilipinas ay kailangang magkumpleto ng electronic Customs Baggage Declaration Form (e-CBDF) at electronic Currencies Declaration Form (e-CDF) na nasa e-Travel website sa https://etravel.gov.ph o sa pamamagitan ng pag-download ng eGovPH application 72 oras bago ang pagdating o pag-alis mula sa Pilipinas.

Para sa tuluy-tuloy na travel clearance, iisang QR code na lamang ang gagamitin sa e-Travel System simula sa Mayo 10, 2024.

Sa pagdating o bago umalis ng airport, ipapakita ng mga pasahero ang kanilang:

1. mga pasaporte sa Immigration Officer para sa kumpirmasyon sa pagpaparehistro ng e-Travel
2. QR Code sa Customs Officer para sa clearance

Ang mga papel na CBDF at CDF ay magagamit pa rin sa Customs.

Binibigyang-diin din ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang mahigpit nitong pagpapatupad ng mga sumusunod na alituntunin sa paglilipat ng mga pera sa cross-border:

1. Kung magpapasok sa o maglabas ng Pilipinas ng perang nagkakahalaga ng higit sa USD 10,000.00 o katumbas nito, kailangang ideklara ang buong halagang dinala o inilabas sa Pilipinas sa e-CDF.

2. Maaari lamang magpasok o maglabas ng Pilipinas ng halagang hindi hihigit sa PhP 50,000.00. Kung lalampas ang inyong dadalhin sa halagang ito, kailangan ng: (a) paunang nakasulat na awtorisasyon mula sa Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP); at (b) deklarasyon ng buong halaga sa e-CDF.

3. Gayunpaman, ang BSP ay nagpapahintulot sa cross-border transfer ng pera na lampas sa limitasyon para lamang sa mga sumusunod na layunin: (a) pagsubok/calibration/configuration ng money counting/sorting machines; (b) numismatics (pagkolekta ng pera); at (c) currency awareness.

4. Ang maling deklarasyon o Non-Declaration ng Philippine o Foreign Currencies at ng monetary instruments ay magreresulta sa pagkumpiska ng mga ito ng mga awtoridad sa Customs.
