Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda met with Mr. Timo Pesonen, European Commission Director-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) on 06 October 2023.

2023 10 03 PRA GM AND CEO Carrion

The Philippine Embassy in Brussels, Belgium welcomed Ms. Cynthia Lagdameo Carrion, General Manager and CEO of the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) and former President of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines, on 03 October 2023. Ms. Carrion discussed with Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda and Embassy personnel her plans for the PRA.

Ms. Carrion and Atty. Sid Castro-Tayag, Managing Director of Learn and Train Sports Academy, were in Belgium to accompany Filipino gymnasts Carlos Yulo and Aleah Finnegan, who competed in the 52nd FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp. Mr. Yulo and Ms. Finnegan recently qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Philippine Embassy in Brussels, in collaboration with Philippine Honorary Consul General Ronny de Blaere, and together with the Filipino community leaders, students, and academicians, commemorated the 132nd anniversary of the publication of El Filibusterismo in a series of events on 30 September 2023 in the city of Ghent.
