Ambassador Ledda Meets PH-Belgian Midfielder Dylan Demuynck and Tom Saintfiet, Current Head Coach of the Philippine National Football Team
Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda and Honorary Consul General for Flanders Ronny de Blaere were invited by the football club SV Zulte Waregem to a match on 19 April 2024, where Filipino-Belgian Dylan Demuynck is a midfielder. SV Zulte Waregem won the match that evening.
Mr. Demuynck is one of the new players of the Philippine national football team. Ambassador Ledda also met Tom Saintfiet, the current head coach of the Philippine men’s team.
Philippine Food Fest Held in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre
In celebration of Philippine Food Month, the Philippine Art and Culture Exchange (PACE) held the 4th Philippine Food Festival on Sunday, 14 April 2024, at the Centre Communautaire de Joli Bois in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, Brussels.
Stalls from purveyors of Filipino cuisine from all over Belgium sold sumptuous fare such as fresh and fried lumpia, dinuguan, pancit palabok and Pinoy spaghetti, and desserts and merienda fare such as leche flan, biko, sorbetes, halo-halo, ensaymada and other baked goods.
The Office of the Agriculture Attaché showcased Filipino products such as Philippine chocolates, coffee, pili nuts, and freeze-dried fruit.
One-Stop Shop for Consular, Migrant Workers Office, Pag-IBIG and SSS Services
The Philippine Embassy in Brussels is pleased to announce the conduct of a One-Stop Shop for Consular, Migrant Workers Office, Pag-IBIG and SSS services on:
- Saturday, 18 May 2024 at the Embassy in Brussels, 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and
- Sunday, 19 May 2024 at the Antwerp Harbor Hotel, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Joining the Embassy are representatives from the Migrant Workers Office in Berlin and the Social Security System in London. A virtual consultation with a Pag-IBIG Fund representative in Manila will also be available.

Embassy Participates in NCCA-Sentro Rizal Virtual Masterclass on Choral Music
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) - Sentro Rizal Virtual 45 Masterclass Philippine Choral Music was held on 26 and 27 March 2024. A total of 45 participants took part in the Masterclass through the Philippine Embassies in Brussels, London, and Oslo.
The Masterclass was conducted by Mr. Mark Anthony A. Carpio, Choirmaster of the acclaimed Philippine Madrigal Singers.
The Masterclass discussed subjects that included an introduction on the artist/choirmaster, and basic techniques on singtelligence, diction, tone and choral blend, intonation and harmony, dynamics and expressive singing, and singtegration.
Day 2 of the Masterclass focused on the execution and application of the basic techniques learned on Day 1 in a selected piece by the Madrigal Singers, as well as breakout sessions among the choir voices - soprano, alto, tenor, and bass.
